Kate is on location at 2019 Comic-Con International: San Diego, which means lots of TV news, hot takes, and helicopters. Our SDCC wrap-up will be up next week, but for now, there’s plenty of TV to keep us busy while we wait for Comic-Con trailers and other goodies to drop. First up, Noel gives his thoughts on O Maidens in Your Savage Season and grown-ish, then Noel and Kate talk SHIELD, Kate catches up with Pose, and they round out the week with Claws. Afterward, we head to the spotlight section and dive in with season three of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Are you down with the Scoops Troop, or did you regret your return to Hawkins? Take a listen, then reach out with your thoughts.

Brett Gelman seems to specialize in characters you want to go away. I don’t know why. I agree that he was worse in season 2.
Isn’t “aggressively 80s” the brand of the show? I also agree that the show seemed to forget that Billy was basically a sadist last season, though I think Max could still feel bad about him dying.
Having their duet serve as the score to other characters’ action scenes is a good idea that didn’t occur to me.
Alan Sepinwall did a poll on which part of the show people liked the most. “Scoops Troop” overwhelmingly won.

It occurs to me that none of his four categories contain Will, who would be closest to falling under the Mike & Lucas (vs 11 & Max) category. I don’t remember what he was doing when the two duos went to the mall independently. As much as we like Dustin, he gets dinged for not telling Will about the Russians, since Will was the most willing to hang out with him and last to leave the radio tower.
