It’s the end of a TV era, the release of the final season of Marvel and Netflix’s multi-series collaboration. This week on the podcast, Noel and Kate spotlight Jessica Jones season three and reflect on the Marvel Netflix series in general. Which stick in our memories, which have we already forgotten, and which do we wish we’d gotten more of? Before that, though, we talk through our week in TV, starting with the comedies: The Detour’s season four premiere, Drunk History’s mid-season premiere, Day Drinking with Rihanna on Late Night with Seth Meyers, “Impeachment” on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, a Senate-centered Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and a romantic Jane the Virgin. Then we round things up with some drama, Big Little Lies and Queen Sugar. Take a listen, and reach out with your favorites from the week’s TV.

While you were talking about Seth Meyers and his staff of writers, I had to think about this really delightful interview with Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel (which, fun fact, means “hail” in German): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ6KNCxeg9U
I love those two. Especially “Jokes Seth Can’t Tell” and ” Amber says ‘What?'”.
Although I cringe every time Amber makes her voice really raspy because that can’t be good for her vocal chords. My vocal coach would hit me. Repeatedly. She’s from Serbia and I’m not even sure I was kidding about the whole part of her hitting me 😀
