We’re two weeks out from Comic-Con, but Kate still hasn’t caught back up. Thankfully, there’s still plenty of TV to discuss! Noel and Kate talk through the week’s viewing, including the finale of The Break with Michelle Wolf, the Making It premiere, another catchup with Terrace House: Opening New Doors, a musical DuckTales, the finales of Pose and Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, and a controversial Wynonna Earp. Then we dive in with the season finale of AMC’s Dietland, as well as the season as a whole, looking at what works and what had us scratching our heads.

So, about Cloak and Dagger:
OUCH Kate. Comparing this to Iron Fist hurt…
I really, really like the show. Let me make this clear. But that’s the thing with Twitter: I have 140 characters so I tend to only talk about what bugged me and, so it would seem, I am not making myself clear:
I also like Mina and her dad a great deal. But when I talked about Tandy having no problem killing Terrors but not the women who tried to kill her I was talking about the assassin. She is obviously evil, she killed her mother’s love interest and threatened to kill her mother as well. So why not her but instead people who maybe could be healed eventually?
I actually didn’t notice Bridget getting a scar on her arm. I have to rewatch the episode and be more observant.
And about Roxxon being evil or “guitly”: When Tandy moved back in with her Mom she held up a news paper with “Roxxon is guilty” as a headline. I didn’t understand how the journalist made that leap given that there are only a handful of people who could have seen the source of the “infection” and lived to talk about it. And even less who knew it before the outbreak.
So now Cloak and Dagger is on hiatus and I am pretty bummed. Maybe I’ll give Dietland a shot as I recently discover it is on netflix.
