With Noel under the weather, we keep things on the shorter side this week on the podcast. First we talk through a handful of our high―and low―lights of the week’s TV, including the Doubt premiere, a Lena-filled Supergirl, a Very Special Arrow, a potentially promising Legion, a mixed Superstore, and a time-jumped Jane the Virgin. Afterward, inspired by the upcoming ClexaCon, we head to the DVD Shelf and dive in with popular Canadian web series Carmilla.

Carl Theodor Dreyer’s Vampyr is a pretty good dreamlike horror film based on Sheridan Le Fanu’s book containing Carmilla. although only very loosely based on it. I haven’t watched the webseries, but I did watch PBS’ webseries “Victoria Frankenstein”, which started out with a promising mix of contemporary educational material & serialized storytelling, but concluded in a very disappointing manner.
