With the summer winding down, a new batch of TV shows are reaching their finales, giving us plenty to discuss on the podcast. First we take a look at the week in comedy, including the series finale of Wilfred. Next up is reality, with some Top Chef: Duels talk as well as our regular SYTYCD breakdown. After that, we talk genre, including a preview of BBC America’s upcoming Intruders, and then we break down a very full and very emotional week in drama, including intense episodes of Rectify and Masters of Sex, as well as the pilot for Legends. Afterward, instead of the DVD Shelf, it’s one more week of Comic Con coverage.
In our final week of SDCC audio, Kate, along with other Comic-Con press including Jason Griffin (the TVaholic) and Kyle Nolan (NoReruns.net), speaks with several executive producers of Hannibal, as well as members of the cast. Due to the number of press and interviewees in the room, there is a lot of background noise, but there’s plenty of fun Hannibal content for those willing to brave the din. Included are conversations with executive producers Bryan Fuller, Martha De Laurentiis, David Slade, and Steve Lightfoot, and actors Caroline Dhavernas, Raúl Esparza, Scott Thompson, and Aaron Abrams.
